The industry leading online grocery shopping platform for mobile and web, Rosie launched in 2012 and today enables customers to shop online from their favorite local stores for same-day delivery or in-store pickup. Rosie partners with local retailers and their wholesalers to provide e-commerce, delivery opportunities, omni-channel marketing and deep data services. IBM selected Rosie as the Top Startup in North America in its 2014 IBM Smartcamp Competition.
CEO and Founder
Nick Nickitas is the CEO of Rosie (www.rosieapp.com), an industry leading online grocery shopping platform for mobile and web. Rosie launched in July 2013 and today enables customers to shop online from their favorite local stores for same-day delivery or in-store pickup. Rosie partners with leading local retailers and their wholesalers to provide e-commerce, delivery opportunities, omni-channel marketing and deep data services. Rosie was a MassChallenge 2014 Global Finalist and IBM selected Rosie as the Top Startup in North America in its 2014 IBM Smartcamp Competition.
Prior to founding Rosie, Nick was COO of FIX Solutions GmbH, a financial services technology company based in Frankfurt, Germany that helps customers connect and trade more efficiently with exchanges in the DACH+ market. Nick also was Director of Business Development at FIX Flyer, a New York based company pioneering advanced technology for high-volume, multi-asset institutional securities trading using the FIX Protocol. Starting in 2007 as the third employee, Nick expanded Flyer's presence in the US, Latin America, EMEA, and AsiaPac with growth from four to over 160 clients in less than four years.
Nick earned a M.B.A. from Cornell University, where he was a Fried Fellow and Weil Entrepreneurship Fellow. Nick received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Lehigh University.
COO and Founder
Jon is the Co-Founder and COO of Rosie, an industry leading online grocery shopping platform for mobile and web. Jon is a member of the ROFDA Advisory Council and a frequent speaker at industry conferences and events. Jon leads the company’s supplier engagement programs, partnering with manufacturers and distributors across the US to develop consumer insights, conduct shopper marketing, and drive increased margins throughout the supply chain. Within Rosie, Jon has leadership responsibility for Sales, Marketing, and Operations, where he focuses on delivering exceptional results for the company’s customers and partners.
Jon obtained his MBA from Cornell University where he conducted his graduate research on digital marketing and data analytics. Prior to Rosie Jon was a management consultant at Gap International, where he worked with executive teams on innovation and leadership development programs. Jon is an alumnus of Villanova University and an avid outdoorsman who enjoys playing a variety of sports.
CDO and Founder
Michael is the CDO and a Co-founder of Rosie, an industry leading online grocery shopping platform for mobile and web. Rosie provides easy access to online grocery shopping to thousands of families across the U.S. Michael leads the technology team that delivers a highly reliable, easy-to-use, and frequently updated platform to these users. Michael also leads efforts around accessing and unleashing Rosie's data on shopper habits and preferences to benefit independent grocers and their customers.
Prior to joining the Rosie team, Michael was a Partner at G2 Systems LLC, a boutique financial services technology consulting and software firm specializing in the alternative investment space. Michael joined G2 as the 10th employee, becoming a Partner two years later. Michael left G2 in 2011 when the consulting group was sold to GFT Technologies, AG, a publicly-listed German IT company.
Michael holds both a B.A. in Astrophysics and a B.Sc.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University, leading some to introduce him as "an actual rocket scientist." He is also an avid skier and sometime cyclist.
Chief Customer Officer
Dave is the chief customer officer at Rosie, the industry-leading online grocery shopping platform for mobile and web. He currently heads up all of Rosie's retailer focused activities including retailer onboarding, customer support, retailer support, operations, marketing services, public relations, data analytics, and account management. As CCO he works with leading retailers to unleash the potential of eCommerce in their communities. He meets with and visits dozens of retailers each year.
Prior to his current role with Rosie, Dave served as Rosie's Director of Marketing for two years building an award winning marketing services platform which helped Rosie have a 10x growth in order volume over just 24 months. In 2016, Dave's marketing department won both an FMI Gold Plate Award for marketing in support of FMI's Family Meals Month and an NGA Creative Choice Award for a Rosie Retailer campaign based around direct customer video interviews.
When Dave isn't helping Rosie grow to be the most successful eCommerce software company for independent grocers, he enjoys spending time with his wife Arjan, six-year-old daughter Natasha, and black lab Tennessee. He volunteers with the Ithaca Lions Club and on the board of the Alternatives Fund of Ithaca.
In the summer, he paddles with the Cayuga Outrigger Canoe Club and cultivates grapes, blueberries and apples in his backyard.
Prior to his current role with Rosie, Dave worked as a business owner, marketing consultant, trainer, and international speaker, helping his clients achieve success through word-of-mouth marketing. He holds a degree in Computer Science from Northeastern University.
